Rainbows and tie-die

This week I've been using the paper from the Honeybee Stamps' "Team Tie Die" 6 x 6 paper pad.  It is a collection of papers that are like ink smooshing, alcohol ink dropping, and one that appears to be colors just scraped across the paper with a palette knife. All without the actual investment in those inks and paints. I already have the inks and paints, but these look so good and they are already done!

Speaking of already done, let's talk about die cuts that are older.  Here are some golden birds from Concord & 9th's "By Your Side".  This card is 5" x 7" so the branch doesn't go all the way across the card.

Here is the other half of that same faux alcohol ink paper with an old die cut of a bunch of houses with trees.  It's so old I don't even remember where I got it.  The sentiment came in this month's Simon Says Stamp card kit.

Speaking of the SSS card kit, here is the adorable bear and a sentiment from the included stamp set. Again the faux ink smooshing is amazing.  The background embossing is from a folder of the month from Spellbinders.

Finally, here is a unicorn from Poppystamps' Whittle Unicorn, on another piece of the Team Tie-Dye paper.  The sentiment is from a very old set from The Alleyway Stamps, "Enchanted".  You cannot tell from this photo, but I sprayed the whole thing with Perfect Pearls mist, so it's shimmery when you tilt it in the light.

This is the only A2 sized card in the bunch.  All the blue ones are 5" x 7".

Kill a 6x6 paper pad? It's harder than it looks.

Well, it's time to "kill a paper pad" as they like to say on YouTube.  This one has been in the stash for over 5 years and was old when I got it at Tuesday Morning. The pages are lovely impressionistic images. Most of these required nothing more than a sentiment and maybe a mat.  I guess the bugs are a bonus.

Did I use it up? Not hardly, but it is a shadow of it's former self. Now, to decide if I want to keep the shadows around.  Most of them are background colors at best, like that first one with the dragonfly.  I'll see in time.

Use it up! That's June's mantra!

So, for the month of June, I will be using up bits and bobs of things that have been hanging around forever.  This group is using up old images colored many years ago.  Bonus, the first two cards here are using up old backgrounds that have been prepared almost as long ago.

The shark is Avery Elle's "Hello Chum". He's water colored. The background was made with border punches (which I gave away a very long time ago).

This one is made with critters from My Favorite Things' "Monster Sized".  They were colored with Prismacolor pencils.

Lastly, we have the Viking from My Favorite Things. He's colored with Copic and Spectrum Noir markers.  This one was turned into a "get well" card for someone special with Covid-19.
