More Christmas cards

So, I pulled stuff from all the places for these.  What can I say, I put off taking pictures for as long as I could on these.

Here I've used Spellbinders' "Chill Bear" with a border die from Gina Marie Designs.  The blue background is made with Distress Mica sprays.  The "Fa La La" diecut is from scrapbook.com. What do you think, scarf or no scarf? Also I'm STILL using up card bases from my mom, 22 years later.  Who knew it would go on so long?

Another 5 x 7 card from the Michael's paper pad from last year.

Here I used parts from the Santa Lane mega kit from Spellbinders, with an embossing folder also from Spellbinders.  I used some gilding polish to bring up the design.

Here is a mix of Spellbinder dies and embossing folder, with a "Joy" die from My Favorite Things.  I used gilding polish on the background again to bring up the design.

There were several cards made with the moose from Gina Marie Designs, using this diagonal layout.

I used the cute little Whittle Deer from Poppy Stamps on this one.

Another 5 x 7 cards. They turned out to be quite popular with my freind that I gave them to.  I guess size does matter.

And, my last card (this year) with the Santa from the mega Santa Lane kit.

Santa Lane mega big cardkit

Spellbinders' mega big holiday card kit this year is called "Santa Lane".  It's a box chock full of crafty goodness to play with.  Here's just the start of mine:

Santa's arms are complicated

Spellbinders special edition card kit this year is "Santa Lane". It features a die set with a somewhat complicated Santa.  I managed to put together 4 incorrect arms before I cracked the code.

There are a lot of little pieces that create 3 different arms, 2 bent and one straight.  I went to several different videos to get the combination of arm/cuff/glove that works correctly.

I made this little cheat sheet from a picture of the dies I found on the Spellbinders website.  In the picture below, arm 1 is labeled "A" in the drawing above, and includes A, B, C and D.  The Arm 2 combo is numbered 1, 2 and 3 and circled in yellow.

The third arm, the straight one, is pretty easy to guess.

I really hope these photos help someone else get these put together with less perspiration than I did.

Hey Foxy! 14 cards, one very old kit

OK, so I have a stack of unused Spellbinders card kits.  Some of them, like this one, are very old.  This kit, called "Hey Foxy" was the card kit of the month for December 2019.

No joke I have 25 Spellbinders card kit boxes, and I've only made cards from about half of them. Some of these unused kits are complete in the boxes, and in some of them I have taken out the dies to use them on other projects.

I want to do Christmas cards and this guilt is getting to me.  But I can safely call this kit "used up" now even if there is a bunch of stuff left over.

Bigger cards, part 2

Here are some more 5 x 7 cards using the big paper pad I got from Michael's. With these I used a variety of older dies from the stash, including this outline hibiscus from Paper Smooches.

The cute snails are Whittle dies from Poppy Stamps.

The big "happy birthday" edge die is unbranded. On the inside I used a Whittle crocodile and a snarky sentiment.

It's hard to see, but this one has the Whittle crocodile and some cute little Whittle crabs.

Now, it's time to do something else for a while.

Bigger cards for the time being

So, I have almost used up all the 5 x 7 card bases that I inherited from Mimi in 2004. Here are a few of the cards I made with a 12 x 12 pad from Michaels'.

The birds are a die from Paper Smooches, the hello is unbranded.

This is made with a combination of dies from Spellbinders and Gina Marie Designs.  The sentiment is from a very old set from Lawn Fawn.

Let's hear it for the butterfly from Honey Bee Stamps. The oval die is from Gina Marie Designs.

The "hugs" die is unbranded.

No dies, all the patterned paper. The sentiment has been stamped a while and was just waiting for a card to hop on!

The die was cut with a Gina Marie Designs die and embossed with a folder from Spellbinders.  The "thanks" is from an unbranded die.
