More whimsy!

Another whimsical house scene using Spellbinders' Whimsical Village.  I love the crooked houses and tree-sized blooms.

It took me 15 minutes and 2 rabbit holes to find my old white ink pad. I used it to highlight the spiral swirls in the sky but since I hadn't done that kind of technique in years it came out really messy. Oh well, it's meant to be imperfect, right? I was lucky the ink pad hadn't dried out in all those years sitting in a box on the shelf.

I also found some plastic "gems" to enhance the circle shaped flowers, and that was a lot of fun, too.

Here in south Florida we are under a heat advisory, what fun! It is 96 degrees out there and I don't even want to go out to the mailbox.

Whimsical houses among the blooms

I loved making the little houses that are slightly bent out of shape.  They are part of the Whimsical Village collection from Spellbinders. I found some old, patterned paper to cut the houses from, as well as the background.

The card base (A7, or 5: x 7") is bright orange.  The inside has a white liner and another blossom stem to decorate it.
