Believe.

Just some simple cards with a simple message.

For these I created an embossed brick panel and put the baby in a manger and the star atop it. I heat embossed the "Believe" on the dark panel.

The images are from The Alley Way Stamps' "Seek Him" set, and the sentiment was put together with Lawn Fawn's "Harold's ABCs".

The baby and manger are colored with Stablio pens, and the star is painted with gold Wink of Stella.

Keep 'em coming!

Yup, more Christmas cards. This one features the Santa from Paper Smooches' Santa Paws set. I call this set Fleas Navidad after the best sentiment. I had to go and check for its real name.

I have LOST the puffy white paint I was going to trim his suit with. At least I could find the Glossy Accents for his glasses. He needs a little ground, too, so I'll take care of that detail later. I know it's time for a craft room cleanup, I just get so distracted!

I used a pearlized watercolor on Santa's beard and it came out a little flat. My experiments with coloring other than Copic/Spectrum Noir markers are mixed, to say the least.

This is my craft room directly to the right of my work desk. Stuff I use often is stacked up on the floor around the desk. That's a crazy way to work, let me tell ya.

My Silhouette Cameo is on a little table in the living room, and the big paper trimmer and Martha Stewart scoring board are on the dining room table. It is starting to spill out around the house again.

Yikes!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas (card time)

I don't need a lot of Christmas cards, but last year I was still making them up to about, oh, December 19th.  So this year I'm trying to get the jump by putting them together in November. What a concept!

One thing that helped me a lot was deciding to let go of perfection (not that I ever achieved it, but still) and also trying to keep it more simple. They are likely going to get tossed fairly quickly so I'm making them accordingly.

So I made several of these cards with the ever-so-cute bird from The Alley Way Stamps' set called All Wrapped Up. The sentiment is from TAWS' Jolly Holiday set. TAWS is going out of business and I'm so very sorry, for them and for myself. I do hope the artist will continue to create images that we can use. Digital would be ok, really.

Now, off to the next design. I have enough holiday cardstock to make hundreds of cards and all I really want to do is mess around with the plain watercolor paper. Go figure.
