Just another quick "missing you" card using this really cute moose. Love him.
The moose and sentiment are from The Alley Way Stamps' Moosing You set. He's paper pieced.

Pink cake wishes
So many candles!
The middle panel is water color smooshed, the papers are Lawn Fawn, and the cake and candle images are from The Alley Way Stamps' Slurp set.
There are a couple more candles on the inside of the card.

Following you anywhere
I had a nice evening in the craft room Saturday, after spending a good chunk of the morning and afternoon to attend a funeral. We'll miss you, Uncle Dutch.
Completely unrelated to that, I finished this card with the cute inchworms from The Alley Way Stamps' Twinkle Toes set. I'm slowly working my way up to the garden fairy, I swear.
The paper is Lawn Fawn's Let's Polka, and the die cut "picture" and sentiment is Lawn Fawn's Awesome. This is meant to look like a photo printed from Instagram, but really, it looks like a rounded square on a sharp cornered square. So to make the point, I put the little camera "logo" just inside in the lower corner:

Ah, the good old days!
Back in my late 20s, early 30s, I was actually the co-owner of 2 different VW vans. How I loved them, even in their wimpy driving ways!
So, for ME, this card is nostalgic, plain and simple.
The van is paper pieced from The Alley Way Stamps' "Feeling Groovy" set, the sentiment is from the same set. The face in the window is from TAWS' "Phone Home" set, and the little bird is from TAWS' "Moosing You".

Summer Coffee Lover's Blog Hop
It's time for the Summer Coffee Loving Papercrafter's Blog Hop, and boy is it a big one! So far there are 242 wonderful cards about coffee linked up.
My set of coffee cup stamps has not arrived yet, so in order to participate in the blog, I had to use the tiny tea cup from an older Lawn Fawn set. Based on the size of the cup, I knew I had to have someone holding the cup while talking about coffee.
It's a mashup alright. The critter is from The Alley Way Stamps' set Oogles, the teacup is from Lawn Fawn's Your're Tea-riffic, and the sentiment is cobbled together from TAWS' Feeling Groovy and Lawn Fawn's Harold's ABCs and MILO's ABCs.
I hope to be back later in the week with another coffee card. I have 5 more days for the new stamps to come in and get creative with them.
Fudgesicles in paradise
It was such a good recipe, how could I lose? I made the fudgesicle recipe on Gemma's Bigger, Bolder Baking website. Seriously, it is a frozen ganache. It is so good.
But, the recipe called for simmering the cream, milk and cocoa powder first, then melting the chocolate with the hot liquid. Sure, that's pretty standard, but why bother when you have a Vitamix?
I put all the ingredients in the Vitamix and blended on high until it was steamy hot, 3 or 4 minutes. Then I poured the delicious chocolate "juice" into the forms and let it cool a bit. Well, there is one problem with doing it this way. There is some foam at the top which freezes into nothing. So all the fudgesicles have a big gap at the bottom. And I really did fill them all the way to the top of the mold.
It was delicious, though.

So, lesson learned. Next time (and there will be a next time) I will put the whole container in the fridge and after it has cooled off quite a bit I will carefully pour out the chocolate "juice" and leave the foam behind. That leftover foam is very good too. Yum.
