Congrats!

One of my long-term coworkers is retiring, after nearly 20 years on the job. She made it! Anyway, her last day is Tuesday, and here is the card I made for her. Purple and blue are her favorite colors.

I used the cool stamp set from Avery Elle called "Hats Off". I colored the images with Copic markers, and backed it up with a couple of Die-Namics wonky stitched circles.
 Happy retirement, Dotti!

Water coloring over embossed text

I just got the "on the edge" set of sentiments from My Favorite Things, and the "HAPPY" just screamed, "Cut me out of white on an angle!". Who am I to argue with inanimate craft items that speak so clearly?

The back panel is white embossed text (Hero Arts) that has been water color stained. Seriously, I just used my Gansai Tambi water colors and picked out a few of my favorites and slopped it down there.

The birthday word stamp and the bird are from The Alley Way Stamps. TAWS went out of business last January, but I have a LOT of their stamps, I was a fan and a subscriber. So, TAWS critters will be on my cards a long time. Yes, this card should have read "HAPPY Bird-day".  I missed that opportunity for a pun. My bad.

More flowers

Yes, more flowers. And brace yourselves, because even more are coming! I got my order from Jo-Ann's yesterday with 2 new old sets from Woodware with doodle-y type daisies and sunflowers.

In the meantime, enjoy more messy water colored flower cards:

The flowers are from The Alleyway Stamps Petal Pushers and Wispy Wishes. The "thanks" is cut with a die from Paper Smooches.

Messy flowers

I was inspired by Amy R's water-colored flower note card set. I, of course didn't have the same stamps that she does, but what the heck. I went for it with my existing flowers from The Alley Way Stamps.

These are flowers from the Wispy Wishes and Petal Pushers sets. I used Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers for the actual flowers, and some pan watercolors for the messy blue background.

Hello, flowers!

Not much to say about this one. I was practicing multiple stamping with my Misti and decided to use the practice piece.  I used the Simon Says Stamp Birthday Flowers and a strip of plaid from Lawn Fawn's Perfectly Plaid 6x6 paper pad.  The no-name clear sequins took on the colors of the surrounding area.
