Coffee and books = happiness!

This was supposed to be a quick card, but nothing went like I thought it should. The image is from Your Next Stamp's Teariffic set. The stack of books has thin lines which make it a challenge to watercolor neatly. I know, watercolor doesn't have to be neat, but it would have been better if I hadn't been so hungry. I kind of had the shakes and didn't figure out until I was assembling the parts and completely misaligned the cover card on the base. AKKKK!

When I first started, I envisioned the stack of books on the plaid paper, representing books on a tablecloth, but it just didn't work.

I also pulled out my little cup of home made enamel dots. Remember a couple of years back when it was a fad to bake up Perler beads to make the dots? Then sequins took over and enamel dots took a back seat to them. In my cup of dots I didn't have 3 matching pink dots. Imagine that!

I can see why sequins are better, since they sparkle and are less likely to mess with the postal machines.

What's brewing?

I love that little pig from Lawn Fawn! Today's coffee card also features the coffee pot and sentiment from Pretty Cute Stamps' Coffee Faces. It's all on the windows of a Pretty Pink Posh filmstrip die. Very simple, actually.

It's another entry for the Spring Coffee Loving Cardmaker's Bloghop. Go Blog!

I always bite the ears off first.

I don't get very many chocolate bunnies anymore, but when I do, I always bite the ears off first. This reminds me of the old cartoon with the two chocolate bunnies. One with his fluffy tail bitten off says, "My butt hurts". The one with his ears bitten off yells, "WHAT?"  That joke never gets old.

So, these are some more bunnies from the March Simon Says Stamp card kit. The "eggs" are cut with the MFT Wonky Stitched Ovals.

Now, I'm off to do some more coffee-themed cards!

What do you mean we're out of coffee?

Today is the start of the Spring Coffee Lovers Blog Hop! I'm happy to do my coffee-themed cards, and to share them!

This crab is part of the Pretty Cute Stamp's Moody Crabs set, and the sentiment is from Pretty Cute Stamp's Coffee Faces. Disclaimer: I won a gift certificate from Pretty Cute Stamps back during the last Coffee Lover's blog hop, and they really are so cute!

The crab was colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers, then fussy cut. He has glossy accents on his eyes. The background was squished and squashed with inexpensive watercolors from Michael's. The background on the main panel was stamped with a coffee bean and cup stain from The Alley Way Stamp's Breakfast Club.

Finally, the sentiment was stamped on a Sketchy Banner tag from Simon Says Stamp.

This is how I felt when staying at my cousin's house a decade or so back. I got over the trauma but I still remember it vividly.

More for Easter!

More Peeps! Here's another card from the Simon Says Stamp March card kit. I used the Avery Elle Wonky Frames die for both the white and the printed card stock, and the stitched border embosser from Paper Smooches. So simple.

Another shaker!

Another shaker card made with the friendly peeps in the Simon Says Stamp March Card Kit. I supplemented the kit's sequins with some pink and green ones I had in my stash, and a couple of the tiny bunnies inside the shaker were stamped on some Lawn Fawn paper.

The card front was cut with the largest die in the Lawn Fawn stitched rectangles, and the frame for the shaker is from Paper Smooches. The little bunny on top is coated with Wink of Stella. The whole thing is mounted on a hot pink card base made with the card stock from the kit.

I am really loving this.

Seriously? I ate the model.

More Peeps! Another Easter card featuring the Simon Says Stamp March card kit. I am loving these Peeps and enjoy stamping, cutting, gluing, and adding sparkle where ever I can.

Here's a close-up showing the Wink of Stella and glossy accents. What fun. And yes, I ate the real Peep straight away after taking the pictures. No use attracting ants, you know.

Easter is coming! The Peeps are here!

My first shaker card, ever. I overstuffed it, but I'm still chuffed I could do it. (I'm home with a sore throat and keep taking LONG breaks.)

This is featuring all the goodies in the Simon Says Stamp March card kit. This is my first-ever card kit, too.  The peeps are over-the-top cute and I will be doing a LOT of Peep related cards in the next few weeks. Watch this space!

I also used the MFT Wonky stitched ovals for the frame and the Avery Elle Wonky stitched rectangle for the frame and the sentiment banner. Did I mention I love playing with my toys? The peeps are coated with Wink of Stella glitter. It's kind of hard to think of glitter as being OK, after years of avoiding it.

Now I have sugary snacks on the brain. Yum.
