So, how have YOU bean?

So, the last week and half around here has been all about Hurricane Irma. Since I live on the southeast coast of Florida, it looked like it was going to hit us, and hard. People usually don't start striping the stores of bread and water until 2 days before, but this time it was about 5 days ahead.

Anyway, we got a lot of tree damage, and many people lost power, for days. I was fortunate not to, thank God.

I made this card for the 2107 Fall Coffee Lover's Blog Hop. I also used the current sketch challenge at My Favorite Things. Whew!

I colored the "Bitty Bears" from My Favorite Things Stamps with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers, and put them with coffee mugs on die-cut leaves. The mug is from MFT's "Our Story", and the leaves are from some older Lawn Fawn dies. The coffee sentiment is from Pretty Cute Stamps' "Coffee Sentiments". The plaid paper is from Lawn Fawn. It is hard to see in the photo, but I used the tiny leaves and acorn stamp from MFT's "Wild Woodland" to stamp the brown borders with a tone on tone subtle pattern.

Thanks for stopping by. Have some coffee, OK?

Coffee before talkie!

I'm still keeping things very simple. The coffee cup and pot images are from Pretty Cute Stamps, as is the tiny "before talkie" tag. The word "COFFEE" is die cut with an alphabet set from My Favorite Things.

I'm not sure who I would send this card to, however. Anyone I'd say this to already knows it.

Sending lizard love!

OK, here's my last of the lizard card series. Once again, this cute little fellow is part of Pretty Cute Stamps' Leapin Lizard collection. He is colored with my Zig Real Brush Clean Color markers, fussy cut, and added to a background that includes the Simon Says Stamp Rolling Hills die.

It's summer and the gnats are out. Thank you lizards, for eating them.

Iguana wish you

More of the lizards I colored this week with my Zig Real Brush Color markers. I love this guy, even if everybody knows iguanas are bright green! He's coming, I promise!

The iguana and the sentiment are from Pretty Cute Stamps' Leapin' Lizards set. The background is an old experiment I had in my scrap box, blended with Distress Inks and a Tim Holtz stencil.

Now, just keeping it real. this is what my work desk really looks like. 100% a mess. If you look carefully you can see the green iguana I colored, kind of southeast of the actual card. LOL.

Happy 4th of July, everyone!

For anyone who is still reading, wow, thanks! My question for you all is, does the size of the photo matter to you? I keep them less than 600 pixels in either direction so I won't go over my limit for Blogger. I also put most of my photos on Flickr at the same size. I think Flickr's size limits are a lot more generous. Should I make larger versions of the photos for Flickr? Does anyone care?

Let's do Lunch!

In honor of the giant lizard I saw last week, I've been coloring these chameleons and iguanas from Pretty Cute Stamps. The stamp set, an older one, is called Leapin' Lizards.

I colored both the chameleon (PCS), and the bird (from My Favorite Thing's Tropical Birds set) with my Zig Real Brush Water Color markers. I really wanted them to be looking up at the bug (lunch?), but that would have required some masking that I didn't really want to do today. I MAY go back and do some surgery on the chameleon's eyes. Maybe.

I also used the bee from Spellbinder's Bee and Laurel die, a zigzag border die from Lawn Fawn, the sentiment from Avery Elle's Hello Chum, and did some background stamping with leaves from MFT's Blissful Blooms (Versamark on the grass) and the diagonal striped sky.

I am linking this to My Favorite Things color challenge # 48. This is the 3rd one for this challenge. I really like the colors!

I'm also putting this in the Pretty Cute Stamps' summer challenge.

Enough Caffeine

More coffee!! Always a plus in my morning, In my opinion.

The cute little coffee go-cup is from Pretty Cute Stamps' Coffee Faces, and the sentiment is from the companion set Coffee Sentiments.

Visit the Summer Coffee Lover's Blog Hop, if you didn't get here from there!

What's brewing?

I love that little pig from Lawn Fawn! Today's coffee card also features the coffee pot and sentiment from Pretty Cute Stamps' Coffee Faces. It's all on the windows of a Pretty Pink Posh filmstrip die. Very simple, actually.

It's another entry for the Spring Coffee Loving Cardmaker's Bloghop. Go Blog!

What do you mean we're out of coffee?

Today is the start of the Spring Coffee Lovers Blog Hop! I'm happy to do my coffee-themed cards, and to share them!

This crab is part of the Pretty Cute Stamp's Moody Crabs set, and the sentiment is from Pretty Cute Stamp's Coffee Faces. Disclaimer: I won a gift certificate from Pretty Cute Stamps back during the last Coffee Lover's blog hop, and they really are so cute!

The crab was colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers, then fussy cut. He has glossy accents on his eyes. The background was squished and squashed with inexpensive watercolors from Michael's. The background on the main panel was stamped with a coffee bean and cup stain from The Alley Way Stamp's Breakfast Club.

Finally, the sentiment was stamped on a Sketchy Banner tag from Simon Says Stamp.

This is how I felt when staying at my cousin's house a decade or so back. I got over the trauma but I still remember it vividly.
