Speaking of trends, I am a space case.

I am a space case because I have three separate stamp sets that are fancifully space themed. My first set, on the far right, has actually started to turn yellow. That one, from Stampendous, has never been used. It figures, I got it in the reduced pile at Tuesday Morning. Sometimes a bargain isn't really a bargain.

The middle set, Space Cadet from Paper Smooches, also had only been used for a sentiment until this weekend. That card will be posted as soon as I get my photo taken. I really love this set, I just don't ever pull it out to use it.

The set on the left is the newest, from The Alley Way Stamps, called Phone Home. I just love those aliens. I have used this one several times already.

Which one of those little planets looks most like Mars?

It's a trend! I just didn't know it when I did it.

I completed this card over a week ago, but hadn't yet taken the photo of it. I got the idea from a card I saw here by Simonne Clay. Then, during the week I saw the same concept done here, and here. There is another one that is similar, with different squares here. I must have seen some of these before and they got into my subconscious, because I really wanted to play with monsters or aliens in little stitched squares. I used the double stitched square dies from Simon Says Stamp. Even the leftover scraps look good!

The monsters are all from The Alley Way Stamps--Phone Home, and Oogles, and the sentiment is from TAWS' Learning Curve set.

But I wasn't done there, I did this one, too.

 Because, well, chickens. Although I had some trouble deciding what my chicken(s) would say. In the end, miss you (from Lawnfawn's Chit Chat set) is quite generic. The chickens are from The Alley Way Stamps' Hard Boiled set.

As much as I love the idea of critters in squares, I really suck at lining them up nicely on the backing.  I have some more to color and use, so wish me luck, or better, more skill with a ruler. Please don't show these to your OCD friends.

Smiling from ear to ear

I actually finished 5 cards today, which must be some kind of record for me. As I am the slowest card maker ever, I am patting myself on the back for these.

The aliens are from The Alleyway Stamps' Phone Home set, and they are paper pieced onto a printed background. The sentiment is from TAWS' set Say It Don't Spray It. That name makes me giggle like a little girl every time.

I did 3 of the "You make me SMILE from ear to ear" cards, one of the flying saucer, and an additional "Welcome Happy Morning". 

What else could the Welcome Happy Morning be used for besides Easter? I haven't put any sentiment on the inside (yet).

Happy Easter, everyone!

These almost speak for themselves. Welcome Happy Morning is my favorite hymn of all seasons. With any luck we'll get to sing it in church. Otherwise I'll be singing it solo in the car.

The "Welcome Happy Morning" was cobbled together from various sentiment and alphabet sets. The bunny, his flowers, frame, sentiment and papers are all from Lawn Fawn. Yay!

Where has the time gone?

I turned around and it was April! This is the only non-Easter card I've made in 2 weeks. It's another butterfly from The Alley Way Stamps' Fly By set. Shhh, don't tell anyone, but he has been colored and waiting for several months.  I won't try to make a cocoon joke. Honest!

Just moosing around

I got out my Inktense pencils and had some fun with this moose.  Yes, another stamp from The Alley Way Stamps. This one is called Moosing You. I just love him and you'll be seeing him again and again, I think.

I used Memento ink for the moose, and clear embossed him so the ink wouldn't run between the sections.

When I watch other card makers on YouTube, I often think I would have stopped before they did. So now I'm thinking that maybe I should add a black faux stitching line just above the "hill". What do you think?

Oh give me a home, where the buffalo roam...

Well, as promised, here are a couple of paper pieced buffalo cards. I just love this guy but I haven't had time to color him yet, so patterned paper to the rescue!

This buffalo stamp is "Buff", from The Alley Way Stamps, and I think I'm going to have even more fun with him in the future.
